Final Cut Pro X 10.4 : 1 week

50 hours later, The new 10.4 update proves stable as any. The work flow was both 25 hours worth of ProRes 422 1080i60 footage (bob interlaced to 1080p60) and over 20,000 still time-lapse photos. The only slow down I noticed was dragging 999 photos from the media bin into the time line. But considering each photo is a 4000x3000 2.4MB JPEG, I really can't imagine how much quicker the process could be without opting for a more powerful machine. Note that the Touch Bar MacBook Pro only has a mere 16GB of RAM and 4GB of VRAM. Not very much considering the enormous amount of stills needed to be processed at 60 frames per second.

Next up: pushing 10.4 through a 4K workflow with heavy color grading, putting the new color wheels and curves to work.
