QNAP TS-228 2-Bay NAS
On average the QNAP TS-228 gets 12MB/s write and 45MB/s read. And this is with 2 SSD's in RAID 0, so there is absolutely no bottleneck on the hard drive side of things.
Keep in mind this is over 5GHz 802.11ac WiFi about 20ft. from the router.
It's a cool idea to have a small package 2-bay NAS but the performance is simply not there for me. I really wouldn't be happy with any NAS performance that doesn't saturate the 1GbE connection. Not to mention that upcoming iMac Pro will support 10GbE. Upping the game for all Apple's competitors.
